In his first case, John negotiated a deal for a man originally facing ten years in prison on drug and weapons charges, who has instead spend six months in an out-of-custody drug treatment program and court probation. John was able to get a judge to release his client, who still had multiple out-of-county warrants, on their own recognizance ("O.R.") after the individual had already failed to appear.

Victories like this continue on a regular basis.* Recently, John was able to get the DA to drop a strike charge AND ignore a prior strike so his client could be transferred to Veterans Court where he will get appropriate treatment.
